Password Protecting QR Codes

For internal documents, exclusive events, or private content, you can add a password to any Dynamic QR Code.

How to Enable Protection

  1. Create or edit a Dynamic QR Code.
  2. In the settings panel, find the Security section.
  3. Toggle Password Protection to ON.
  4. Enter the password you wish to set.
  5. Click Save.

The User Experience

When someone scans a protected QR code:

  1. They are taken to a secure entry page.
  2. They are prompted to enter the password.
  3. If correct, they are instantly redirected to your destination URL.

Security Note: Passwords are encrypted on our servers. However, this is intended as a simplified gate for marketing and privacy, not as a replacement for high-security enterprise authentication systems.

Resetting Passwords

If you forget the password or want to change it, simply return to the QR code settings in your dashboard and enter a new one. It takes effect immediately for all future scans.
