At QR Code Genius, we treat your data and your users' privacy with the utmost respect. We are committed to transparency and compliance with regulations like GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California).
Our Privacy Principles
- Data Minimization: We only collect the information absolutely necessary to provide our service (e.g., your email for account access).
- User Privacy: We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) from the people who scan your QR codes. Analytics are based on anonymous data such as IP-based geolocation (city-level) and device types.
- Security: All scan redirects and dashboard data are transmitted over secure, encrypted HTTPS (SSL) connections.
GDPR & CCPA Compliance
- Data Processing Agreement (DPA): Our terms of service include a DPA to ensure we handle data in a way that respects your users' rights.
- Right to Access: You can download all your account data at any time from the settings panel.
- Right to be Forgotten: You can delete your account and all associated QR codes instantly. Once deleted, data is permanently scrubbed from our active databases.
Scan Analytics & Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies on the redirect page. This means users don't need a cookie consent banner just to scan your QR code, which makes the experience faster and more private.
