Modern smartphones have built-in QR code scanners in their camera apps. You do not need a third-party app.

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. Select the rear-facing camera.
  3. Hold your device so that the QR code appears in the viewfinder.
  4. Tap the notification banner that appears at the top of the screen to open the link.

If it doesn't work, go to Settings > Camera and ensure Scan QR Codes is enabled.

Android

Google Lens (Most Devices)

  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. Point it at the QR code.
  3. Tap the popup link that appears.

Samsung / Pixel

  1. Open the Camera or Quick Settings panel.
  2. Tap "Scan QR Code" if available in the shortcuts.

Troubleshooting Scans

If your camera won't pick it up:

  • Clean the lens.
  • Increase brightness if scanning from another screen.
  • Move closer/further to help the camera focus.
