Guide to QR Code Customization

Making your QR code stand out increases scan rates and brand recognition. Here is how to use our design features effectively.

1. Foreground & Background Colors

  • High Contrast is Key: The foreground (dots) must be significantly darker than the background.
  • Avoid: Yellow on white, light blue on white, or dark red on black.
  • Inverted Codes: While some scanners support white dots on a black background, it is less reliable. Stick to dark-on-light.

2. Adding a Logo

Click the Logo tab in the generator to upload your brand icon.

  • Format: PNG is best for transparent backgrounds.
  • Center Placement: We automatically place the logo in the center.
  • Safety Zone: We ensure the logo doesn't cover critical data modules, but keeping the logo simple helps.

3. Shapes and Eyes

  • Body Shapes: Standard Squares, Dots (softer), or Rounded.
  • Eye Frames: The three big squares in the corners are "Eyes". You can customize their frame and inner shape independently.

Always Test Scannability: After customizing, scan the preview on your screen with your phone before downloading or printing. If it's hard to scan, increase the contrast or simplify the design.
