Redirect A/B Testing

A/B testing (or Split Testing) allows you to split your QR code traffic between two or more different URLs to optimize conversion rates.

How it Works

When a user scans your QR code, our system randomly assigns them to one of your variants based on the weights you define.

Setting Up a Test

  1. Create a Dynamic QR Code.
  2. Under the destination URL, look for "Add A/B Test Variant".
  3. Add a second URL (Variant B).
  4. Set Weights: You can split traffic 50/50, or any other ratio (e.g., 90/10 if testing a risky new design).
  5. Save.

Analyzing Results

In your analytics dashboard, you will see a breakdown of scans per variant. Compare which URL resulted in more clicks, signups, or sales on your website.

Best Practices

  • Test one variable at a time: Use different headlines but the same layout.
  • Give it time: Wait for at least 100-200 scans before declaring a winning variant.
  • Winner takes all: Once you find the best performing URL, you can remove the other and set it as the 100% destination.

Pro Tip: Use A/B testing for restaurant menus to see if a PDF menu or an interactive web menu leads to more orders!
