Campaign Scheduling & Expiration
Automating your QR code campaigns ensures that your audience sees the right content at the right time. With QR Code Genius, you can schedule your codes to become active and expire automatically.
Setting a Schedule
When creating or editing a dynamic QR code, look for the Advanced Options section:
- Starts At: Set the date and time when the QR code should begin redirecting to your destination. Before this time, users will see a "Not Active Yet" page.
- Expires At: Set the date and time when the QR code should stop working. After this time, users will see an "Expired" page.
Manual Deactivation
You can also manually deactivate a QR code at any time using the Active toggle in the dashboard. This is useful for emergency pauses or ending a campaign earlier than planned.
What Users See
- Before Start: A clean "Coming Soon" style page informing them that the campaign hasn't started.
- After Expiration: A professional "Campaign Ended" page. Customizing these pages is available for Pro users.
Best Practices
- Time Zones: All schedules are based on your account's time zone settings.
- Padding: Set your start time a few minutes before the actual launch to account for deployment syncs.
- Redirection: Even if a code is expired, you can always update the "Expires At" date in your dashboard to reactivate it instantly.
