A/B Testing for QR Codes
A/B testing (or split testing) allows you to compare different landing pages to see which one performs better. QR Code Genius makes this easy by allowing you to add multiple destination variants to a single QR code.
How it Works
- Enable A/B Testing: In the Advanced Options of the QR Generator, toggle A/B Testing on.
- Add Variants: Add two or more URLs you want to test.
- Assign Weights: Give each variant a "weight" (a number). The traffic will be split proportionally.
- Example: Variant A (Weight: 1) and Variant B (Weight: 1) = 50% traffic to each.
- Example: Variant A (Weight: 75) and Variant B (Weight: 25) = 75% traffic to A, 25% to B.
Tracking Results
Our analytics engine automatically tracks which variant each user was served. You can view the performance of each variant in the Analytics tab of your dashboard, including:
- Total Scans per variant.
- Unique Visitors per variant.
- Conversion trends over time.
When to use A/B Testing
- Landing Page Optimization: Test two different designs of your promo page.
- Offer Testing: Test a "10% Off" discount vs. "Free Shipping" to see which resonates more.
- Language Targeting: Direct users to different language versions of your site to see which engages better.
